Threshing

During the 2008 Reunion, we are going to attempt to set a new record by having 20 threshing machines in operation at one time. This threshing event will occur Saturday, August 30th (if we're rained out, we'll try it on Sunday, August 31st).

First we'll shoot for 20+ steam-powered threshers in a ring at 11 a.m. Then, at 1 p.m., we'll shoot for 20+ gas-powered threshers in a ring. Anyone interested in bring a thresher or a power to our Reunion for this event should contact Dick Kuhlow, Chairman of our Crops & Threshing Committee.

Threshing... that's what the Thresheree is all about. Our threshers and engines don't sit around in some stagnant display; we put them (and a slew of volunteers) to work.

A variety of harvesting equipment is used each day at the Reunion.

Stacking bales is not a job for the weak. Note the nice Minneapolis Special separator in the background.

The foreman? Or just not late enough in the day to be covered in shaff?
