One of Rock River Thresheree, Inc.'s "projects in the works" is our Homestead. We already have a 1920s Sears & Roebuck kit home on our grounds, but what's a homestead without a barn? Finding a barn to move to our Threshermen's Park isn't an easy task, and just any old barn won't do. We need an appropriately sized and styled barn, and we hope to have it match the era of our homestead house. Chairman Dan Rynes and his Barn Committee members are the folks in charge of meeting our club's needs for a barn. Eventually, we hope to use the homestead house and barn to demonstrate the agricultural methods and practices many of our ancestors performed daily. Dan's phone number and e-mail address can be found on our Committee Chairs page. |
