Our 1993 show ran four days -- including Friday for the first
time. (Eventually, Friday evolved into Senior Citizens Day.)
Our Worthington diesel engine came to the grounds. By March,
the Museum of Agriculture & Industry building was up but
much work was left for the crews to get the engines ready for
display. We decided to get the Allis Chalmers Corliss engine
ready first, then the Cummer and Vilter engines from Pabst Brewing.
We purchased two wagon frames from Farm & Fleet -- the
first step to building our own shuttle wagons. After the show,
we decided to haul the shuttles wagons with antique tractors
instead of newer tractors.
Walt Durst passed away. Glenn Beedy lost the use of his right
arm and told the board he no longer be active with the Museum
project but he remained involved for more than a decade more
- it's really hard to quit the Thresheree!
John Deere was our featured tractor. Ann Prisk was our Reunion
Queen.
