Rock River Thresheree - 38th Annual Reunion (1994)




In 1994, the first engine in our Museum of Agriculture & Industry -- the Nordberg Corliss engine with a Vilter refrigerator compressor -- was operational. Sort of. Since the exhaust wasn't connected yet, a cloud of smoke gathered in the rafters of the building. The longer the engine ran, the closer the smoke got to the spectators. Luckily, the boiler ran low on pressure before the impending fog bank reached people's heads.

Massey/Massey Harris/Wallis was our featured tractor. Gladys Dieter was our Reunion Queen.
