In 1999, we started our Annual Swap Meet in June. Roger Brown
donated a trailer to use for security and as a show office. Attendance
fees went up to $5 for adults but for the first time visitors
parked and then paid at our in-park admission gate (previouly,
admission was taken immediately upon entering the grounds at
our County M entrance). Jamie Young took the first panoramic
photo of our members during the show. Late in September, members
worked to move the Bucyrus steam shovel from Kankakee, IL, to
our grounds.
Ford and Fordson were our featured tractors; Monitor was our
featured engine. Mindy Studebaker was our Reunion Queen. Our
1999 Souvenir Album was dedicated to our club founders.
