OLDEST TRACTOR AT THRESHEREE -- Kenneth Sayre, Edgerton, is dwarfed by this Jumbo 12-14 horsepower tractor manufactured by the Harrison Machine Works Co. about 1900. Beautifully restored by its owner, Pete Brno [Burno], DeForest, the tractor, one of nine old-timers, that can be seen at the second annual Rock River Steam Thresheree Saturday through Monday along with old threshing machines and other antique farm equipment. The Thresheree will be held on the John Horton farm seven miles northwest of Janesville between County Trunk F and Highway 51. The threshing exhibition will start each day at 10 a.m. After a pause at noon, the afternoon activities start at 1 p.m. All of the old equipment will be paraded daily at 2 p.m. and the threshing and sawing will be resumed at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sunday and Monday. -- Gazette photo
