JANESVILLE -- Bernard M. Lux, age 91, died Wed., Jan. 28, 1998, at Rock Haven Nursing Home. He was born June 22, 1906, the son of Emil and Martha Lux. Bernard married Genevieve Lux on Oct. 14, 1940. He is survived by his wife. He farmed in La Prairie Township most of his adult life. After ill health made him quit farming, he moved to Fort Atkinson and worked at Jefferson County Home, then part time at Laminated Industries in Fort Atkinson. After retirement he died woodworking and restored antique furniture. He was very active in the Rock River Thresheree, where he was a member and also secretary of the club.

He is survived by a son, Don (Janet) Lux; a daughter, Elaine Rana of Berwyn, IL; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Margaret Kuhlow and Marian Simonsen of Janesville; 3 sisters-in-law, Dorothy Lux of Janesville, Christina Nelson of Fort Atkinson, and Leona Nelson of Jefferson; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Dunlap Funeral Home, Ft. Atkinson, at 2:30 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 31, 1998 [with Father Duane R. Moellenberndt of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Atkinson, officiating]. [Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Lux, Brian Lux, Bruce Lux, Doni Lux, Joe McNally, Kenneth Nelson and Roy Nelson. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Fort Atkinson.] Visitation will be from 2:00 until 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

After a long illness, may he rest in peace at last with God.
