Fred B. Thomson, 81, of 454 Elm St., died Sunday, Jan. 11, at Rock Haven following a short illness.

He was born Aug. 9, 1899 in the town of Fulton, the son of James and Alice Bancroft Thomson, and married the former Eleanor Stark April 4, 1923 in Janesville. He was a farmer, carpenter and was employed by General Case since 1957.
Mr. Thomson was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Carpenter's Local 836, and a charter member of the Rock River Thresheree.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lyle of Milton, and Don of Janesville; one daughter, Mrs. Francis Krueger, Janesville; two brothers, Leonard of Janesville and John of Illinois; a sister, Blanch Stark of Janesville; 10 grand-children and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, granddaughter and great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Faith United Methodist Church, Milton, with Rev. Virgil Holmes officiating. Burial was in Fassett Cemetery, Edgerton. Memorials may be made to the church.
