Donald B. Lux, 76, of 2414 South County Road J, Janesville, died at his home on Thursday, April 10, 2008. Donald was born on Aug. 15, 1931, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville, son of Bernard and Genevieve (Nelson) Lux. He attended the Gravel Hill School through 8th grade, when he had to quit to help his father on the farm. He married Janet Laidlaw at First Presbyterian Church in Janesville on Oct. 6, 1962. Donald was employed for 32 years by International Harvester as a tractor mechanic, along with farming his entire life on the family farm in La Prairie Township. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a founding member, president for 10 years as well as having served as vice-president of the Rock River Thresheree Association, past chairman of the La Prairie 4-H where he was a leader for 42 years, past president of the senior council of the Rock County 4-H, member of the John Deere Midstate Two Cylinder Club, member of International Harvesters Collectors of the World & Wisconsin Chapter #4 Inc. of the state club.

Donald Lux is survived by his wife, Janet; 10 children: Cindy (Randy) Gerstner, Bruce Lux, Jeni (Joe) McNally, Lona (Matt) Graves, Brian Lux, Buffy (David) Kummer, Bridjet (Michael) Kobelt, Lily (Tim) Jacobs, Doni (Mandy) Lux, and Brad Lux; and grandchildren: Caleb, Trasque, Ayrdan and Payton Lux, Brittany, Ben, Cassie McNally, Stew-art and Elizabeth Graves, Kate and Nathania Kummer, Hannah Kobelt, Tyler and Ethan Hansing, David and Kallie Lux, Connor Gerstner and Maddie Jacobs.

Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2008, at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville, and from 10 until 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, at First Presbyterian Church, 17 N. Jackson St., Janesville. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Bruce A. Jones and Chaplain Steve Hayes of HospiceCare will officiate. Assisting the Lux family is Henke-Clarson Funeral Home (608-741-1713).
