Harlan George Wade (1924-2001) Member #27 Rock River Thresheree Class of 1964 RICHMOND / WHITEWATER -- Harlan George Wade, age 77, died Tues., Nov. 13, 2001, at his home. He was born May 4, 1924, the son of Frank William and Myrta (Acker) Wade. He attended the Richmond Methodist Church and was graduated of Whitewater High School in 1941. Harlan resided and farmed [in the Town of Richmond] his entire life. He and his brother, Howard, loved to work in their woodlot. They built many of their farm buildings from lumber they logged there. Harlan was an avid collector, especially of steam-powered engines. Harlan was a member of the Rock River Steam Show for many years. He enjoyed hunting with his dogs and raising exotic birds and pheasants. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Dorothy Wade; nieces and nephews: Ronald (Suzan) Wade, William Hunt and family, Roger (Imogene) Hunt and family, Martha (Herm) Karlhoff and family, Myrta Fitzgerald and family, Donna (Robert) Hepfinger and family; other relatives and friends. Predeceasing him were his parents; 2 sisters, Martha and Annabelle; and a brother, Howard. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Sat., Nov. 17, 2001, at the Richmond Methodist Church. Friends may call Saturday, November 17, 2001, at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery. The Skindingsrude Funeral Home is assisting the family.
