SUN PRAIRIE / MADISON -- Simon E. Havey, age 62 of 4381 Highway TT, died on February 2, 1984, at a Madison hospital after a long illness. He was born April 23, 1921, in the Township of Burke. He was married to the former Mary Koellen in Dubuque, Iowa, on April 23, 1942. He was an electrician with the Nicholas Electric Company and a farmer for many years. He had formerly owned and operated a lumber saw mill and was a Stihl Chainsaw salesman for many years. Mr. Havey was a member of Lakeview American Lutheran Church; Electrician's Union No. 159 and Moose Lodge No. 1451. He is survived by his wife; six children, Nicholas of Madison, Mrs. Barbara (Robert) Faust of Sun Prairie, Donald of Madison, Mrs. Ellen (Edward) Crapp of Edgerton, Dennis of Deerfield and Simon of Sun Prairie; his mother, Mrs. Bernice Havey of Madison; a sister, Mrs. Phyllis (Robert) Felland of Madison; a brother, Lyding of Madison; nine grandchildren and several nieces. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 6, 1984, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., with the Reverend Jim Sollom officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home on Sunday, February 5, 1984, from 4:00 p .m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Moose service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family requested.
