EDGERTON -- Ivan H. Lean, age 59, of 136 Lakeview, died Fri., Jan. 20, 1989, at home. He was born Dec. 26, 1929, in Elkhorn, the son of Ivan Frank and Hattie Belle (Niles) Lean. He married Patricia Mae Henthorne Jan. 31, 1952, in Rockford. He was a member of Albion Prairie Primitive Methodist Church, had been employed at Beloit Corp. as a crane operator until his retirement in 1973 and had driven for Edgerton Milk Transfer. He was a Boy Scout leader for Koshkonong Troop 66, past president of Highwood Association, member and past director of the Rock River Thresheree and had served in the Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; 2 sons, Thomas (Debra) and Terry (Kim), both of Edgerton; a daughter, Joannie Akins of Middleton; a sister, Mrs. Melinda Richards of Texas; 4 grandchildren: Tonia, Deanna, Palyn and Dustin. He was preceded in death by his father in 1935 and his mother in 1959.

Funeral services will be Mon., Jan 23, at 1:30 p.m. at the Bruni-Nygaard-Ward Funeral Home, Edgerton. Burial will be in Fassett Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
