Edward "Red" Nelson (1926-2007) Member #59 Rock River Thresheree Class of 1966 DELAVAN - Edward "Red" Nelson, of R&D Townline Road, Darien, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at Beloit Memorial Hospital in Beloit. He was born in Wisconsin on Sept. 23, 1926, the son of Emil and Pauline (Sundeen) Nelson. He married Tess Schultz in April of 1951 in Clinton, WI; she preceded him in death on Aug. 18, 2001. Edward was employed as a Plant Manager for Textile Industries for many years. He was a member of Rock River Thresheree in Edgerton , WI . He also served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his granddaughter, Jodi (Gregg) Geier of Marshall, WI; a grandson, Jason (Missy) Snudden of Roscoe, WI; 6 great-grandchildren: Tara, Riley, Carly, Austin, Cameron and Carter; a twin sister, Ethel Shep of Arizona; a sister, Violet Hahn of Whitewater; 2 brothers, John (Donna) Nelson of Wisconsin and Kenneth (Audrey) Nelson of Darien; also nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Tess; and his daughter, Paula. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007 , at the Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Clinton Cemetery in Clinton , WI , with Full Military Honors. Memorials may be made to the Rock River Thresheree. Monroe Funeral Home, Delavan, is assisting the family.
