Ward Edward Taylor, 93, formerly of 1764 Hemlock St., Beloit, Wis., died Monday, April 1, 1996, in Western Lake Medical Center, Wake County, N.C.

He was born March 3, 1903, in Kalamazoo, Mich., the son of Robert and Maude Blodgett Taylor. Ward married Waive L. Atkinson on Aug. 29, 1920, in Centerville, Mich. She predeceased him on Oct. 12, 1989.

Ward was a machinist, employed by Fairbanks Morse and Company for 31 years, retiring in 1965. He was a member of Gridley Congregational Church, a Deacon of the church, and a member of the Fairbanks Morse Quarter Century Club.

Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth (Louis) Belken of Raleigh, N.C.; his son, Harold Taylor of Rockford, Ill.; five grandchildren: Kathryn Carey of Raleigh, NC, Louis Belken, Jr., of Scottsdale, Ariz., Mary Grable of Rockford, Ill., Scott Taylor of Baltimore, Md., and Bill Taylor; eight great grandchildren; and one sister, Iris Belland of Kalamazoo, Mich.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, 1996, in the Shrine of Memories Mausoleum, Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, Ill., with the Rev. Ruth Lyons officiating. Burial will be held in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Daley, Murphy, Wisch and Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, assisted the family with arrangements.
