Everett E. Schroeder (1925-2008) Member #103 Rock River Thresheree Class of 1975 BELOIT -- Everett E. Schroeder, age 82, of Beloit, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, in Golden Living Center, Fort Atkinson. He was born Dec. 25, 1925, in Reedsburg, the son of Rudolph and Rose Samuel Schroeder. Everett was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1944 until 1955, iin World War II and Korea. After leaving the Army, Everett worked in road construction and was a taxi driver in Milwaukee. He married Wanda Glowaka in 1957. Everett, with his family, moved to Beloit in 1960, to start a 30-year career with General Motors in Janesville. He was a volunteer concession worker at the Beloit Snapper baseball games in the late 1990s and early 2000. Everett loved his family, friends and his dog, Mickey. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was a fan of the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. Suvivors include his five children: David A. Schroeder of Beloit, Jeffrey J. Schroeder of Covington, La., Thomas L. Schroeder of Beloit, Barbara A. (Gary) reese of Erie, Pa., and Sandra L. Schroeder of Beloit; five grandchildren: Ryan, Kelsey, Austin, Aaron and Tanner; brothers and sisters: Margaret Thomas of Des Plaines, Ill., Alton Schroeder of LaCrosse, Evelyn (Ike) Stout of Madison, Herman Schroeder of Quincey, Ill., Betty (Wesley) Lind of Pueblo, Colo., and Alice Jearman of Georgetown, Del.; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and three brothers, Andrew, Donald and William. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, in Daley Murphy Wisch and Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Bewloit, with Pastor Norman Starks officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services in the funeral home.
