Leonard C. Madaus, 83, formerly of Highway 120, Lyons Township, died Sunday at the Pine Crest of Lake Geneva. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Steinke Funeral Home, Lake Geneva, where visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.

LAKE GENEVA/LYONS TOWNSHIP -- Leonard C. Madaus, 83, formerly of Hwy. 120, Lyons Township, WI, died Sunday, July 31, 2005, at Pinecrest of Lake Geneva. Leonard was born on Jan. 3, 1922, in Genoa City, WI, son of Lewis and Anna Borck Madaus. He was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Meyerhofer on Aug. 10, 1974, in Elkhorn; she predeceased him on Jan. 9, 1982. He has been a lifetime resident of Lake Geneva.

Surviving are a stepdaughter, Barbara Dickman of Pell Lake, WI; a stepson, Richard Meyerhofer of Alaska; and a sister, Beatrice Matejovsky of Lake Geneva. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Everett Madaus; and a sister-in-law, Helen Madaus.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, at the Steinke Funeral Home, Lake Geneva, with Pastor Cory A. Braatz officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Lake Geneva. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be given in Leonard's name to the VNA Hospice Lake Geneva Branch, 500 Interchange N., Lake Geneva, WI.
