Louis R. Skelly (1909-1983) Member #134 Rock River Thresheree Class of 1980 MADISON -- Louis R. Skelly, age 73, of 629 Troy Drive, died in a Madison hospital on Thursday, May 26, 1983, unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack. He was born August 14, 1909, in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. He was a life long Madison area resident. Mr. Skelly was in the automobile business in Madison for the past 42 years. He was a member of Saint Peter's Catholic Church, Rock River Antique Club, Moose Lodge Number 1451, and Madison Kennel Club. He was married to the former Leona Darwin Schwartz. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Judy) Ambrose, Sauk City; two sons, Dean F. of Madison and Allan L. of Sauk City; two sisters, Miss Geraldine Skelly, Madison, and Miss Genevieve Skelly of Stoughton; three brothers, George and Leo Skelly of Madison, and Robert of Ann Arbor, Michigan; and five grandchildren; Funeral services will be held at Saint Peter's Catholic Church, 5001 North Sherman Avenue, at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 28, 1983. Father Lawrence Korback will officiate. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, May 27, where a Moose Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. The Parish rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. [Source: unknown newspaper, May 1983] |
