JANESVILLE -- Mark Wayne Smith, age 26, of 1621 S. Osborne Ave., died unexpectedly Wed., Dec. 18, 1991, at home. He was born Aug. 24, 1965, in Janesville, the son of Orville G. and Carol (Orton) Smith. He graduated from Parker High School in 1984 and attended Blackhawk Technical College for 2 years. For the past 6½ years he was employed by General Motors. Mark was a member of U.A.W. Local #95, the 55 Chevy Club and the Rock River Thresheree Assn.

He is survived by his parents, Orville and Carol Smith of Janesville; a sister, Michelle Smith, a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison; his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Herbert Smith of Lancaster, WI, and Mrs. Adella Orton of Montfort, WI; aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sat., Dec. 21, at Christ Lutheran Church, Lancaster, WI, Rev. Paul Markquart officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 tonight at the Schneider Funeral Home, Janesville, and on Friday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the O'Rourke-Schwartz Funeral Home, 142 W. Oak Street, Lancaster, WI.
