Leslie Howard Plunkett, 91, Beloit, WI, died Tuesday, August 29, 2006, in Nazareth Health and Rehab in Stoughton WI.

He was born May 5, 1915, in Garland, Missouri, the son of Walter D. and Ida Jane (Brock) Plunkett. He married the former Ollie Mae Dooley. He was employed as a supervisor by Wisconsin Power and Light for 30 years. He is a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy.

His survivors include sons Tom (Ellen) Plunkett, Beloit, WI, and John A. Plunkett, Stoughton, step-daughter Judy (Rudy) Schultes, Janesville, WI, six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister Mary Bunch, Kansas City, MO, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and brothers Charley, Walter and Albert.

Memorial visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, IL, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 5. Cremation rites to be accorded. Private family burial in Floral Lawns Memorial Garden, South Beloit, IL.
