Donald G. Gunderson (1944-2005) Member #225 Rock River Thresheree Class of 1990 SHARON -- Donald G. Gunderson, 61, of Sharon, WI, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, in Beloit Memorial Hospital. Don was born March 17, 1944, in Elkhorn, WI, son of Thorwald and Irene (Dotzenrod) Gunderson. He married Patricia Wiedmer on May 20, 1967, in Sharon. Don served his country with the U.S. Army. He retired from Warner Electric Co. after 35 years. He loved to farm, working the land and dairy. One of his greatest passions was as a collector and restorer of antique tractors. "Poor Don's Farm" was a place where many repairs and helping of friends took place. He loved to go to auctions, loved his dog Grizzly and all animals, and enjoyed socializing with his friends. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Patricia; his son, Gary D. Gunderson of Elkhorn; 2 sisters, Hazel Adele (James) Lass of Holmen, WI, and Karen A. Cunningham of Beloit; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2005, in the Schoenfeld Funeral Home, Clinton, WI, with Fr. J. Thomas Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Sharon, WI. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
