Norman Danielson (1935-2008) Member #310 Rock River Thresheree Class of 1996 Norman Danielson, 73, Brooklyn, WI, passed away Sept. 30, 2008, at the Hospice-Care Center in Fitchburg, WI. He was born in Edgerton, WI, in 1935. After graduating from Cambridge High School, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years. For more than 30 years, Norm worked for the police departments in McFarland, Verona and Fitchburg and served as police chief for the town of Brooklyn. He was also a U.S. Marshall for a number of years. After retiring from law enforcement in 1995, he went back to work as bailiff for Dane County and Green County courthouses until health reasons forced him to retire permanently. Norm enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting on his family farm, his dogs and tinkering with his Model A and his old tractors. He was a member of Rock River Thresheree, joining the club in 1996. He was an avid sports fan of the Badgers, Packers and Brewers. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, seven children, eleven grandchildren, two brothers and a son-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, a son and a sister. Funeral services were held at Holy Mother of Consolation Catholic Church, Oregon, WI, with burial at Prairie Mound Cemetery. [Source: The Thresherman's Tracker, October 2008, p. 10] |
