(1932-2006) Member #424 Rock River Thresheree Class of 2000 JANESVILLE -- Helen Nobs, 74, of 610 N. Oakhill Ave., died on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, at Edgerton Memorial Hospital LTC. She was born in LaValle, WI, on Sept. 11, 1932, the daughter of Leo and Wilma (Sinclair) Wegner. She graduated from Reedsburg High School and had been a Janesville resident for over 60 years. She married Edgar E. Nobs on Feb. 22, 1953, in Northwood, IA. He preceded her in death in Nov. 20, 1990. Helen was a member of the Rock River Thresheree and was well known for her arts and crafts. She is survived by her 2 sons, Michael Nobs of Janesville and Ronald (Kelly) Nobs of Evansville; 2 grandchildren, Josh and Jessica Nobs of Evansville; a sister, Ruth (Herb) Dargel of Lime Ridge, WI; and a brother, Johnnie (Anna) Wegner of LaValle, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Lorraine Powell. A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2006, at Schneider Apfel Schneider & Scheider Funeral Home.
