David Joseph Gajdosik, age 75, of Janesville, died Saturday afternoon, July 12, 2003, at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Janesville on August 29, 1927, son of Joseph and Clara (Peters) Gajdosik. He married Betty M. Teubert on May 26, 1947, in Rockford, IL. David was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed for 38 years by the Rock County Highway Department, retiring as superintendent in 1987. Mr. Gajdosik was a former member of the Rock County Board of Supervisors, a life member of Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post #1621, a member of Moose Lodge #197, and a life member of the Rock River Thresheree. He formerly served as manager of the Bluebirds Baseball Team in the Janesville Babe Ruth League and was a former Boy Scout Leader.

David is survived by his wife, Betty of Janesville; 6 children: Daniel (Dawn) of Richland Center, WI, Dale (Joyce) of Columbus, WI, James (Danielle) of Janesville, John (Sue) of Red Wing, MN, Linda (Gary) Nordeng of Janesville, and Clara Jo (Jim) Hartman of Castle Rock, CO; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Celly Vasek and Marion Koss.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2003, at Milton Lawns Memorial Park Chapel, with visitation in the chapel from 2 p.m. until the time of services. Rev. Gary S. Shields Sr. will officiate. Military rites will be provided by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post #1621 and entombment will be in Milton Lawns Mausoleum. The family is being assisted by Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, Janesville.
