Walter Roll Buried Sunday

Funeral services for Walter Roll, 41, were held Sunday in the Jones Funeral home and at 2 p.m. in St. John's Lutheran church, the Rev. A. M. Wahl officiating. Military rites by the American Legion and V.F.W. were held at Fulton cemetery.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Eda Roll, and three brothers, Fred and George, town of Fulton, and Willard, Janesville.

He was born in the town of Fulton, July 21, 1910. He served with the 11th Infantry division from Feb. 6, 1942, to Sept., 1945, took part in the invasion at the Normandy beach head and fought in northern France and the Rhineland. He was employed in the foundry department of the Edgerton Highway Trailer Co. besides doing farm work.
